Language learning, amongst other social and financial benefits, can cognitively enhance problem solving skills, improve memory function, creativity and encourage tolerance towards others.

We equip pupils with transferable language skills, spark pupils’ curiosity about different cultures, and provide a solid foundation for them to extend their learning in their future. This could be pursuing languages at higher education, travelling, socialising or in the world of work. We believe languages are to be enjoyed by everyone and our curriculum supports and challenges pupils of all abilities.

We focus on listening, reading, writing and speaking, as well as phonics, grammar and translation. Lessons are interactive and we encourage the use of target language at every opportunity. We make reference to authentic target language resources, including music, film and literature to inspire pupils.
