The Governing Body is composed of 15 governors made up of representatives appointed by the Local Authority, parents, staff members and the local community as listed below:
8 Co-opted governors
1 Local Authority Governor
4 Parent Governors
2 Staff Governors (including the Headteacher)
The term of office for governors of all categories is four years (with the exception of the Headteacher).
The Governing Body meets at least once a term. In order to function effectively and efficiently a substantial part of its work is delegated to three committees. These are
- Students’ Personal Development Committee
- Finance and Resources
- Curriculum
