The Elton High School is one of the premier co-educational community comprehensive schools in the Metropolitan Borough of Bury, serving approximately nine hundred and fifty pupils, aged 11-16 years. Examination Results - Aug 2011
Once again our examinations have improved with an outstanding result of 75% of our pupils achieving 5 A* to C including English and Maths grades, one of the highest results in the borough.
Pupils achieved 89% 5 A* to C grades not including English and Maths.

Please note that the School will now close for the summer on Tuesday 19th July 2011.
English Ofsted Inspection
Our English department was recently selected at random for an Ofsted subject inspection. This took place on 9th and 10th November 2010 by the lead inspector for English. The department was graded OUTSTANDING!
